The vendor directory is back
22 event vendors I've personally vetted, and this time there's no gate. Plus five event jobs worth a look.
Last September I built a directory of event vendors.
The idea was simple. People kept asking me the same question: do you know a good photographer, AV team, planner, entertainer? So instead of answering one email at a time, I put the best ones in my network in one place.
It worked. Then I moved on to a new project and had to take it down. The emails asking where it went never really stopped.
So it's back. Today I'm relaunching it with 22 vendors I've personally vetted, across the categories event pros actually hire for:
AV & Production
Planning & Management
Photography & Video
Entertainment
Event Technology
Promotional & Branded
Virtual & Hybrid
This time, it's ungated. No signup and no form standing between you and the list. You click through and reach out to the vendor directly. The old version made you log in to see it. This one doesn't.
Every listing is a vendor I reviewed myself. I opened each website and checked the work before it went live, and the ones I couldn't stand behind aren't there. If a vendor made the directory, it's because I'd hand their name to a client without hesitating.
If you run events: bookmark it. Next time you need vendor ideas, it's a link instead of a scramble.
If you're a vendor: listings are free, and I'm adding a new batch every week. A spot gets you in front of the event pros reading this, plus a link back to your own site. If you want in, apply here. Same page, the application link is at the bottom.
🧑🏻💻 And the usual: fresh event jobs
The #EventProfs board refreshed on July 16, and the US list runs to nearly 50 open roles. I went through them and pulled the five I'd forward to a friend job-hunting in events right now. Each one is at the director level or above, has a real salary band attached, and was still open when I checked this week.
