Nobody downloads the event app. This agency owner replaced it with a text.

Every organizer has lived this: you build a beautiful event app, push it for weeks, and maybe 20% of attendees download it. The other 80% are texting all event long, just not to you.

Jordan Kaye spent more than 20 years producing premieres, executive summits, conferences, and brand activations before he set out to fix that. He runs Analog Events out of LA, a decade-old shop that's been through COVID, the writers' strike, the actors' strike, and the LA fires. His new tool came from one blunt observation: almost nobody downloads the app, and almost everybody texts.

So he built Agent Analog, an AI event concierge that lives entirely in SMS. No app, no login. A guest texts a number and gets a real answer, personalized to them.

Here's what that looks like. A guest texts "is there coffee nearby?" and gets the espresso bar, its hours, and a note that their 10 AM session moved there. They can pre-order the oat latte, ask for directions, pull up a speaker's background, flag a dietary need, or opt into an introduction with someone worth meeting, all by text. The concierge knows whether it's talking to a VIP, a speaker, a sponsor, or a general attendee, and tailors every answer to that.

A few things I hadn't seen done this cleanly:

• Photo delivery: guests are matched from their registration headshot, and every photo of them from the event lands in a personal gallery link, automatically.

• Food and drink ordering by text, parsed straight into sheets for the catering team.

• Opt-in networking that introduces two people only when both say yes.

• Real-time analytics, so organizers see what guests actually asked for and what landed.

It's built to sit on top of the registration platform or event app you already use, not replace it. Jordan says that since the launch announcement, inbound has been "insane," to the point that he made a growth hire the same day.
