Fresh event jobs, plus what 8,651 listings say about remote
Five roles worth a close look, and the two-year read of this board that changed where I'd tell someone to search.
The #EventProfs board refreshed this morning with 116 roles, 38 of them in the US. I went through the US list and picked five worth a real look.
All five are director-level or above, name an actual number in the posting, and were live when I opened them. Three top out above $300,000 at the high end of the range.
Then I did something I have been meaning to do for a while, and read every listing this board has published for the past two years, plus 524 of the job descriptions behind them. That is below the jobs.
🧑🏻💻 Jobs in the Industry
🎨 Creative Director, Event Design @ Stripe (New York, NY | Hybrid) — The best-paid events job in this batch is a design job. You would lead Stripe's brand and experiential design team, set the visual direction for its events, and build the design system that holds that direction together across every market Stripe shows up in. Ten years of design experience and three years managing designers is the floor. $214,400–$321,600. Apply here →
💳 Sr Director, Events Strategy and Business Operations @ Visa (San Francisco, CA | Hybrid) — A chief-of-staff seat to the Head of North America Events, and the posting is unusually specific about what that means: governance models, portfolio budgeting, the event technology stack, invitation management, and sponsorship asset allocation. You would manage two people, and travel runs 5 to 10%. $200,000–$320,000.

💊 Senior Director, Corporate Meetings & Events @ Otsuka Pharmaceutical (U.S.) (New York, NY) — Enterprise strategy across commercial meetings, speaker programs, congresses, advisory boards, and internal training, with MLR and HCP compliance sitting on all of it. Otsuka is asking for 10 to 15 years of leadership and prefers pharma or biotech. $209,599–$313,375 plus an incentive. Apply here →
✈️ Director, Events @ Engine (Chicago, IL | Hybrid) — Engine is the business travel and spend platform used by more than 38,000 companies, and this seat owns the entire portfolio: tier-one conferences, executive dinners, supply partner programs, and first-party customer events. Worth asking about in the interview is the monetization line, because the posting wants revenue models across product lines, which most events directors never carry. $173,400–$240,000. Apply here →
📺 Vice President, Corporate Events @ Versant (New York, NY / Orlando, FL / Los Angeles, CA | Hybrid) — Versant is the company Comcast spun its cable networks into. It has traded on the Nasdaq since January 5 of this year and owns CNBC, MS NOW, USA Network, Golf Channel, E!, SYFY, Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes. The posting puts enterprise events strategy and hiring the team both on this person, at a business that has existed on its own for nine months. Three days a week on-site in whichever of the three cities you pick. $200,000–$230,000 plus bonus and long-term incentives.

📊 What two years of this board actually shows
I pulled every listing the board has published since September 2024. That is 12,323 listings, which come down to 8,651 distinct roles once you account for the same job sitting through several weekly refreshes.
The number I did not expect was remote. In the twelve months to August 2025, 13.7% of US event roles here were fully remote. In the twelve months since, it was 20.6%. On-site fell from 55.7% to 50.8% over the same stretch. Whatever return-to-office did to the rest of the economy, this board went the other way.
Sorting the past year by employer explains it. The on-site roles belong to Legends Global, Disney, Oak View Group, Hyatt and LA28, where an event is a physical place someone has to stand in. The remote roles belong to CrowdStrike, Atlassian, Twilio, ServiceNow and Autodesk, where the events team sits inside field marketing. The split is industry, not policy, and software kept hiring.
The pay runs the same way. Among US director-level roles that published a range, the median remote job pays $163,000 and the median on-site job pays $138,000. US roles advertising $200,000 or more went from 141 to 230 in a year.
Titles have not budged. "Director of Events" is still the most common US listing found, 45 times in the past year. So I read 524 of the actual postings instead, half from each year, and the language has moved a long way. They are twice as likely to say pipeline as they were a year ago, and half again as likely to hand you the budget and to say cross-functional.
One line in there is properly on topic for this newsletter. Postings that ask the person hired to use AI went from 2.0% to 8.1%. That is still small, and it is four times what it was. It is also less abstract than the conversation around it: BNY wants someone who can "craft clear, effective prompts to generate high-quality outputs," MathWorks wants AI used to streamline planning, and Everise asks for working knowledge of how AI tools are changing event personalization. Nobody is asking event people to build models.
The number worth acting on is smaller and less exciting. Of those 8,651 roles, 77.3% appeared in exactly one weekly refresh and were gone. If you check this board monthly, you are seeing about a quarter of what passes through it.
I wrote the whole thing up with the charts, the four markets, what the job descriptions now ask for, and an honest section on what one job board cannot tell you.
