A free AI readiness assessment, and my session at IBTM World

Score the five workflows every event team runs, see the hours you could recover in a year, and get one fix you can run this week, plus The Future Stage at IBTM World in Barcelona this November.

Most AI advice for event pros assumes you can install anything you want

Every time I teach AI to a room of event pros, the same thing happens, and it has nothing to do with the material.

This year has run from the advanced Claude for Events session with Julius Solaris, where we built agents that track registrations in the background and post the numbers into Slack on their own, through MPI ACE, through Northstar earlier this month, and on to ExhibitorLive in March.

The range across those rooms is enormous, and it doesn't track with seniority. In the same room, you'll find someone running their own GPT for rooming lists, someone who uses ChatGPT every day but has never uploaded a document to it, someone on Copilot only because IT blocked everything else, and someone who tried it once, got a generic answer back, and reasonably concluded the whole thing was overhyped.

None of those people are behind. They're in different places, and they need different next steps.

So most advice misses the mark. It's written for someone with every tool available and nothing blocking them, and that person is rarely the one reading it.

What almost nobody gets is an answer to the narrower question: given my role, my company's restrictions, and the work actually on my desk, where does this pay off first?

So I built something to answer it.

The free AI Readiness Assessment

No call, no payment, about three minutes across five short steps.

You tell it the tasks that take up your week, in your own words. It maps what you write onto a 0 to 10 framework and scores each task separately, because almost nobody is equally proficient across everything, and one grade for the whole team tells you nothing about where to start.

Per task, it weighs five things: whether the work is written down, whether it repeats in the same shape every event, how fast you can check a draft an AI produced, what it costs you when that draft is wrong, and what you're actually permitted to use at your company.

That last one is why I built it. Enterprise readiness assessments score you on data platforms, model governance, and MLOps maturity. A ten-person event team scoring badly on infrastructure it will never buy has learned nothing.

What comes back is a readiness score out of 100 that tells you your AI persona, gives you an estimate of the hours you could recover in a year, and one fix for your highest-opportunity task that you can run this week. It arrives in your inbox, and you can share the result without exposing your answers.

This is the best I've managed at scaling what I'd tell you in a room for any level of AI experience.

The score and the hours are fixed maths, traceable to the answers you gave. The advice written on top of them is generated for your situation, and it changes with how far along you are. Early on you get a starter step. If you've already built saved workflows you don't get one, because handing an advanced team a beginner step isn't weak advice, it's a step backwards. This quiz gives you the next step for whatever level of proficiency you have with AI.

It also speaks to the tools you actually use. Tell it you're on Copilot and the fix is written for Copilot, which works with spreadsheets differently than Claude. Tell it your company blocks client data and the fix won't ask you to paste an attendee list anywhere.

This has been an ongoing project of mine for the past three months, and I’m excited to have you try it out.

I'm also speaking at IBTM World in November

IBTM World 2026 is November 17 to 19 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, and I'll be on The Future Stage.

In August, Julius Solaris and I planned a 70-person dinner live on a webinar and let an agent do most of the work. It researched every attendee, wrote the run of show, suggested discussion topics, and laid out the seating.

In November, we bring that dinner to life. Boldpush will have its own hosted buyer group in Barcelona, with our sessions blocked off for the event.

Another country off my speaking list, and a chance to demo more of what AI can actually do in this industry.

Till next time,
Noah

Do More With Less Using AI

PS: If your company blocks something that would obviously help you, reply and tell me what it is. That list is going into the session.
